A Halloween Beverage -- for Adults Only

Let's face it, Halloween is pretty much just for kids. I get it.

First there's the costumes and the hay rides and the pumpkin carving. Then there's the trick-or-treating and the candy and the apple bobbing and the...

Well, you get the picture.

But darn it, adults deserve to have some fun, too!

Which brings me to the topic of this post: an adult beverage that's just for YOU (i.e., a big person) on Halloween night.

I've never shared a beverage recipe before, but here's a first...and I hope you like it.

In fact, I hope you like this cocktail (which is actually a festive twist on the White Russian) enough to make it again even after Halloween has passed. Enjoy, my friends. Mwahahahaha!

PUMPKIN PIE COCKTAIL
(Recipe and photo credit: Lindsay White of My Baking Addiction blog)

Yield: 1 delicious cocktail
Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:
1 oz Pumpkin Spiced Kahlua
1 oz Whipped Cream Flavored Vodka (can substitute vanilla vodka if you can't find Whipped)
1/2-3/4 cup milk (can substitute dairy-free milk or unsweetened unflavored almond milk)
1 Tbsp pumpkin puree
Pumpkin Pie Spice, for garnish

Directions:
Measure liquors, milk, pumpkin puree, and a few ice cubes into a martini shaker. Give it a good couple shakes. The pumpkin puree will dissolve into the drink!
Pour into a rocks glass and garnish with a sprinkle with a pinch of Pumpkin Pie spice. Enjoy!

Notes:
*If using non-dairy milk, stick to unsweetened. The liquors are pre-sweetened and extra sugar may be overload.
*If you can't find Pumpkin Spice Kahlua, regular Kahlua or similar coffee-liquor can be substituted. Just add a pinch of Pumpkin Pie Spice to the mixture before you shake it!
*Here are some of the more unusual ingredients below:
