How long did it take you to write your book? It was a 4-year process from start to finish. But I only had 6 months of actually writing time (which isn't nearly enough, if you ask me).

 

How did you choose your chefs?  I started with those who are extremely well known and loved, both in the media and for their longevity. Then I turned to Cleveland Magazine's Silver Spoon Awards, which are voted on by readers. I also consulted the Zagat survey, again voted on by readers. The rest were recommended by a wide variety of foodies as well as other chefs.

 

My favorite chef isn't featured in your book. What gives?  It all boils down to space, space, space. If I could have written a book with unlimited pages, every single great Cleveland chef would be included. Alas, that's not how it works. So I had to pick and choose. Buy hey! If you like my book enough and there are lots and lots of sales, we could always consider doing a volume 2.
